Scandinavian insurers have reduced payouts due to water claims by 25%. Here’s how.

As water and humidity damage make up over 30% of all P&C insurance claims, a 25% reduction by detecting leaks early offers a powerful opportunity to reduce these losses.

Assuming an annual frequency of water claims at 2%, an average cost per water damage claim of 10,000€, and an average water damage cost per policy per year of 200€, smart water spot sensors can lead to direct savings of 52€ per policy per year:

✅ A 10% reduction of all water claims leads to savings of 20€ per policy per year.
✅ Reducing another 30% of water damage by 50% results in savings of 30€ per policy per year.
