🎈🥳🎈It is Spectro Inlets Birthday today!!

Hurrah!! Spectro Inlets is 7 years old today 🎂. We celebrated with cakes and coffee and a bit of office hygge. It was very interesting to reminisce about our early days as a company and how far we had come! One could only think “how quickly time flies.”

Well done to our founders Anil Slipsager Thilsted and Daniel Trimarco, for daring to dream and taking the first step into making Spectro Inlets a reality. We also congratulate our employees who are working hard every day, ensuring that we provide the EC-MS solution to various organizations and industries. And very importantly, we appreciate our customers and audience for cheering us on and remaining part of our journey.

Do you know that electrochemistry and mass spectrometry intertwine using the monolithic silicon microchip to tackle challenges involving the detection and observation of highly volatile products in electrochemical reactions?

We are pleased to share a thesis written by Ainoa Paradelo Rodriguez. Ainoa was undergoing a PHD Program University of Twente, a customer of Spectro Inlets. We regard this article as a piece of feedback regarding the performance of the ECMS, and we are very happy that the ECMS is right on track with our value proposition.
Aiona also provided a detailed description of how the ECMS provides solutions needed to achieve a more sustainable energy system.

🦋 Change is the only constant thing in life, although it can be challenging most of the time. To attain a greater tomorrow, we need to let go of the good today. 🐛

At Spectro Inlets, we embrace change. That is why we are pleased to announce the move of our company to a new location. We are currently located at the Symbion Community building, Fruebjergvej 3, 2100 Copenhagen.
The past month has been a period of packing and unpacking, organizing, coordinating logistics, bargaining on and signing off rent contracts, lots of coffee and all the while keeping up the positivity and optimism. 😅
In the meantime, transitioning to and integrating into our new work environment has been made easier by the collaborated team effort within our company, between moving partners and host partner.

Why have we made this change?
🌱 Through the years, Spectro Inlets has gone from being a startup with few employees, few products solutions, and a big dream of changing the world using electrochemistry and mass spectrometry. We have evolved to a company with more employees, more products that provide solutions to an array of industries, with dreams that have now become a reality and with more experience in the industry.
🌱 We had to provide the space needed to accommodate the growth that we are experiencing within our company. We embrace this change to be a better version of ourselves both for our company and customers.

🥐 Today we started our day with a yummy breakfast and our CEO Anil Slipsager Thilsted was responsible for making sure breakfast was ready at 9:00 am.

A while ago we came to the agreement that as a company, we would like to do a weekly check in on each other both on a professional and personal level. We reached a conclusion that having breakfast on Thursdays would be a good opportunity to work on our team building. Each teammate takes a round in providing breakfast, which is of course paid by the company. we get to enjoy each other’s company and give updates on work activities.

At our team breakfast today, Gabriel Kroch our head of work environment committee emphasized on the importance of prioritizing employee wellbeing as well as making sure we had a healthy and conducive working environment. He talked about employee stress in relation to working hours, working environment or other personal factors. Gabriel highlighted that resources have been made available to ensure that our employees take necessary action needed to ensure they are in the possible best state of being.

💙 At Spectro Inlets we believe that a great product starts with having the customer at heart.
That is why the EC-MS is designed and manufactured to address challenges and provide solutions through the application of design thinking.
The application of design thinking ensures that we empathize with the present challenges of our customers, foresee future challenges and possibilities, acquire in-depth understanding of customers needs and create solutions to meet those needs.
One of the challenges our customers are faced with is detecting very low concentrations of the species generated from electrochemical reactions. This impairs their ability to accurately measure the efficiency of the reactions.

The EC-MS exceptional sensitivity provides solution to this, because it can detect and measure desorption of 0.5 ‰ of a monolayer within 0.5 seconds. This provides our customers with accurate quantitative data and measurements which can be coupled with qualitative data, to give more control of research product and gain a better comprehension of the electrochemical processes involved. By this, our customers are enabled to understand problems like e.g., battery degradation and provide solutions by optimizing processes that mitigate it.
