Interest in DACS ventilation solutions continues to grow across Canada 🇨🇦

Earlier this year, Niels Dybdahl visited the Houle family farm near Drummondville, Quebec, together with Mathew Daniel from BarnSmart, our dealer in the region.

During the visit, they welcomed a group from Manitoba who came to see a complete DACS ventilation system in operation under real farm conditions.

At the Houle family farm, we have supplied Corona inlets, MagFan Minis and HEAT60 units as part of the system, supporting controlled air distribution, dry litter and well-ventilated birds.

A big thank you to the Houle family for welcoming Niels, Mathew and the group, and for showing the farm in operation.

What does efficient dehumidification actually look like?

Smoke tests carried out on a poultry farm in British Columbia, Canada, show the AddAir heat exchanger operating in two different modes.

AddAir draws air from inside the house to maintain the setpoint temperature. In dehumidification mode, outside air is drawn across the hot water radiator and introduced into the house as bone dry air.

Ventilation powered directly by the sun

Did you see Mr. Bartosz Smieszny’s poultry house in Poland?

We delivered a complete DACS ventilation system for his new house, and the first flock delivered results that speak for themselves:

☑️ 3.03 kg at 42 days
☑️ FCR 1.47
☑️ Mortality 2.28 %
☑️ EPEF 476

Even with 34 °C outside, the DACS house operated at just 50 % capacity while still achieving strong production results.

What does effective airflow actually look like?

Smoke tests carried out on a poultry farm in British Columbia, Canada, show how the Corona Inlet Fan performs with the baffle in closed and fully open positions.

The tests demonstrate how incoming air mixes with warm room air and how the airflow provides maximum cooling around the birds. The MagFan was also tested at 70% in tunnel mode.
