We’ve refreshed our logo 🎉 .

As our company grows and our projects evolve, we wanted our visual identity to better reflect who we are today.

The new logo represents our growth and the increasing scale of the projects we work on. It also reflects our approach to work: precision, reliability, and a systematic engineering 👨‍💻 mindset.

The circular background symbolizes the integrity and completeness of the solutions we deliver, as well as the comprehensive range of services we provide.

Our logo will appear on different backgrounds, each representing one of our areas of expertise.

🔵 The main logo appears on a blue background and will accompany our work related to steel structures.

🔘 You will also see the logo on a grey background, which will represent our projects involving concrete structures.

🟡 The yellow background will accompany our work in the field of façade systems design.

🟠 The orange background will represent our modular design projects.
Updating the symbol that represents our work is also a sign of our openness to new and unconventional engineering challenges.

One thing remains unchanged — the core principle of STRUCTURAL-S:
🏗️ Quality is our responsibility.

Same team. Same expertise. A refreshed look.

Stay tuned 😉

Although we design structures for residential and industrial buildings, a significant part of our team is deeply involved in technological projects.
The level of complexity varies in every field — but technological projects seem to be rarely simple 😄.

And that’s exactly what we enjoy.

Working with our team means not only accessing solid engineering experience, but also collaborating with specialists who can foresee critical challenges in technological projects before they turn into risks, because we:

🔹 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀
We work directly with production facilities, which allows us to understand the manufacturing process in detail. This enables us to propose practical, production-oriented solutions that help our clients avoid delays and save valuable time.
🔹 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
We know how to handle situations where the existing design documentation does not fully match the actual conditions on site.
🔹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀
Technological projects often require fitting large amounts of equipment into very limited areas — and we know how to make that work.
🔹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀
When project changes introduce loads that exceed the capacity of already constructed foundations, we develop safe and efficient engineering solutions to adapt the structure.

We are not afraid of complex, non-standard tasks that carry high responsibility 🧐 — this is where our engineering expertise delivers the most value.

Every technological project has its own story of surprises 😯 , and engineering decisions.

In the arrived year we continue to share engineering solutions 🛠️ we develop for our clients, along with practical examples of our work.

One of our recent tasks involved the design and analysis of steel structures for a commercial building.

Project challenge:
The client required the structure to allow for possible future reconstruction and expansion of the building.

To address this, our team accounted for additional loads from potential future areas defined by the client. These loads were included in the structural analysis of the steel frame, ensuring that the building could be expanded in the future without changing its fundamental ⚙️ structural scheme.

This approach ✅ allowed the client to plan long-term development while maintaining the reliability and efficiency of the original design.

At Structural-S, we value non-standard engineering tasks and thoughtful design solutions that support our clients’ future needs.

We look forward to new projects, professional collaboration, and in-person meetings 🤝in the year ahead.

Let’s stay in touch.

The commercial building 🏨 in our scope. Sounds trivial.

But in engineering terms, it was a two-storey civil building with a complex plan geometry, located in close proximity to existing structures . Now it sounds closer to reality.

In this project, our work primarily focused 🧐 on steel columns, beams, girders for wall framing, and stairs.

Our team executed the following types of work:
🔹 Structural analysis
🔹 Calculations of joints
🔹 Workshop and assembly drawings

One of challenges at the project was that as a design assignment we had to use a set of common architectural solutions.

During the static calculation and further design, it was taken into account that a cast-in-situ concrete slab based on a profiled steel sheet would be used as the floor-to-floor overlap and coating. In this configuration, the slab acts as a rigid diaphragm, effectively integrated with the steel frame. Relevant design measures were taken to ensure the composite action of the slab and frame was optimized.

For the design, a combined configuration of rigid two-storey transverse frames was implemented, formed by columns and main beams of the floors and roof. This approach was necessary due to the complex plan geometry and the immediate proximity to existing structures.

A practical and very client-oriented example from our experience.

Hybrid Concrete Works — If Planned Right

In modern construction, speed and reliability often come from combining different technologies rather than choosing just one. The effective strategy is the hybrid use of precast and cast-in-place concrete. Although these two methods differ in ex*****on, they are based on the same material — concrete and, when properly designed, can complement each other.

🔷 Cast-in-place: pros and cons. It offers maximum flexibility — it adapts to architectural concepts and site conditions, providing continuity and high load-bearing capacity. Yet, it comes with longer cycles: formwork installation, reinforcement, pouring, curing, and stripping — all of which take time. It is also highly sensitive to weather conditions and requires significant labor input.

🔷 Precast: pros and cons. On the other hand, precast ensures factory-level quality, faster assembly, and reduced weather dependency. It shines in repetitive structures. Among its limitations - difficulty in making on-site changes, and logistical challenges related to transporting and installing heavy components.

🌀 Synergy of Technologies
Blending precast and cast-in-place concrete allows for the strengths of both methods to be fully utilized. Hybrid construction enables parallel workflows: while precast elements are being produced in the factory, cast-in-place work can proceed on-site. This shortens project timelines, improves predictability and allows flexibility where needed — without compromising quality.

But here’s the critical point: success in hybrid construction depends on ⚡ decisions made at the very beginning. Connection details, tolerances, and sequencing must be resolved before the project starts. The biggest mistake is 💡 attempting to switch technologies mid-process. Abrupt changes from precast to cast-in-place or vice versa often lead to delays, extra costs, and quality risks.

👉 That’s why consistency and clear planning are the real drivers behind efficient hybrid concrete solutions.

What’s your experience with combining precast and cast-in-place concrete? Can you state it speeds up projects and reduces risks?

Residential Building 🏨 in our scope

Some time ago we shared the interesting tasks that our concrete team was facing at Project "Współżycie" in Poland.

This residential building may look like a “calm” piece of architecture, yet behind this calmness it hides plenty of unusual and tricky engineering challenges that required non-typical solutions.

The most significant ones arose directly from the construction site conditions.

We were facing:

1️⃣ strict dimensional tolerances for manufacturing and installation to ensure correct coupling of precast elements.

As if that was not enough, we also had:
2️⃣ limited space on the construction site and no place for a crane along any side of the building.

The fact is the fact. So what was done?
On one hand, careful planning was carried out: placement of equipment, choosing the optimal crane type and model, combining multiple lifting devices, assembly trolleys, as well as using additional tools for precise installation.

On the other hand, installation had to fully respect the limitations of boom reach and load capacity. This led us to redesign the wall panels into smaller precast segments to ensure safe installation within crane reach and load capacity limits.

✨ In the end, this project proved that even under space restrictions and strict accuracy requirements, detailed planning and flexibility in engineering solutions can transform obstacles into workable strategies. It once again highlighted how crucial teamwork between design, manufacturing, and site teams is — only together we can turn complexity into safe and reliable structures.

Сan you avoid welding on the construction site?

Yes, we can. It is important to clarify where welding is required and for what purpose. For example, the problem of rebar splicing is addressed with couplers very effectively. In precast and cast-in-situ structures we use them widely. These are not just sleeves, but structural elements that eliminate the need for welding or extended lap splices.

Key advantages:

🔹 Steel efficiency — no additional bar length for laps is required;
🔹 Faster assembly — connections are completed much quicker on-site;
🔹 Reliability — load transfer is achieved at the full strength of the rebar, as verified by testing.

Of course, couplers are not a universal substitute for welding. In embedded parts, structural steel details, or temporary works, welding might still be expected — but even there, alternative solutions are available to minimize or avoid it.

👉 We are curious: how do you replace or reduce welding in your projects?

Not every dormitory is a standard project 🏗️

Recently, our team was tasked with developing a detailed BIM model 📐 of a six- story precast reinforced concrete building intended to accommodate students and university staff.

Here are some of the tasks included in our scope:

🔹development of joints
🔹termination of loads and loads effects
🔹design of wall and column reinforcement
🔹creation of holes and niches for utility systems, ventilation, and electrical wiring

Did everything go smoothly ? 🤔 Not at all. The main challenge of the project was a significant restriction: welding and embedded parts were not permitted on construction site. We found a solution by implementing alternative fastening systems — anchor bolts, chemical anchors, coupler connections, and removable anchors.

This led us to a reliable outcome and once again proved ✅ : even under non-standard conditions, we ensure the quality of structures. We will share more about the challenges we faced on this project in our upcoming publications.

Somehow, staircases always end up last in the design queue 🤷‍♂️.
Yet on site, they’re first in importance — for both daily use and emergency safety.

Good stairs aren’t just access points — they’re part of how a plant runs smoothly, keeps people safe, and makes daily work easier.
We design them so that every step feels reliable — in routine operations and in rare, high-pressure moments.

Because the best compliment for a staircase is simple:
🚶‍♂️ “You don’t even think about it — you just walk.”

Do you agree?
