Procurement Officer (Job Code HO-P-001)

Role Purpose:

- The main purpose of this role is providing superior customer service to the end users departments and Clients to ensure that their purchasing needs are met in an effective and efficient manner.
- Additionally this role must ensure that all purchasing activities undertaken are performed to the highest ethical standards and in accordance with Supply Chain policy and procedures.

Technical Skills:

- Ability to interpret purchasing/sales documents, invoices, and computer generated ordering & inventory documents &maintain accurate records.
- Ability to create and update meaningful spreadsheets and documents.
- Capable to plan and coordinate to meet work schedule.

Essentials:

- A willingness to take full responsibility for role accountability
- Strong Work Ethic
- Must be very customer focused
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- High negotiation skills with a proven record locally and internationally.
- Fluent in English spoken and written
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Ability to work unsupervised

Education/Qualifications:

-Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
-Post Graduate certificates in Purchasing / Supply Chain is an advantage

Experience:

-Purchasing experience 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing/Project environment.
-Mining experience is desirable.
-A high degree of computer literacy (Microsoft office) and be totally committed to working in a team environment
