ETERNAL SUNRISE 

Madrid 2025, Calle Goya

Eternal Sunrise is a specific design commissioned by Madrid City Council for Calle Goya, in the heart of Madrid's Salamanca district.

The design is a play on geometry and perspective. The sky depicts a sunrise in warm orange tones. Although the 25 images are identical and repeated, the whole works in perspective as a single 1,000-metre-long painting. To achieve this effect, the vanishing point of the lines in the images had to be designed and installed at a specific height to coincide with reality and create the illusion of a continuous drawing. And although the lighting is static, the installation develops its own dynamism and changes radically depending on the position and perspective of the viewer on the street.

We are in Beijing right now. We have been invited to participate in the 17th Solana Light Festival, 2025. We have redesigned our Light Maze, with some improvements and alterations we were keen to test. Shanyao Light Maze is shining till the 20th of February.
