Onte foi a gala do Premio Otero Pedrayo 2025. Tiven a sorte de crear para a ocasión unha peza imposible titulada Néboa, e a placa na que se apoia, ambas de gres e esmalte cocidos a 1260°C. Texturas e cores que fan referencia á paisaxe. Moitas grazas á por contar co meu traballo para tan prestixiosa ocasión na cultura galega. Parabéns

Ayer fue la gala de entrega del Premio Otero Pedrayo 2025. Tuve la suerte de hacer para la ocasión una pieza imposible titulada Néboa, y la placa sobre la que se apoya, ambas de gres y esmalte cocidas a 1260°C. Texturas y colores que hacen referencia al paisaje. Muchísimas gracias a la por contar con mi trabajo para una ocasión de tanto prestigio en la cultura gallega. Enhorabuena a la !

Muchísimas gracias por contar con mi trabajo para esta conmemoración tan especial!
El es el Centro de Innovación Tecnológica en Edificación e Ingeniería Civil de la Universidade da Coruña. Me hace especial ilusión este proyecto! Hace 20 años yo estaba estudiando ingeniería en la Escuela de Caminos de la UdC y haciendo prácticas en el CITEEC. En 2015 la cerámica absorbió mi vida profesional y este reencuentro con la ingeniería es para mí cerrar el círculo!

Fue un lujo muy guay volver después de 28 años al gimnasio de mi cole para formar parte de esta primera edición de ! Graciñas ! Fueron unos días en buenísima compañía con Jon, Aurora, Steffano, Tomás y Andrés. Una experiencia súper interesante , inspiradora y divertida. Muchas gracias a Deleite, Artesanía de Galicia y el Concello de Nigrán por hacerlo posible! Y muchas gracias a todos los que vinisteis a escuchar y participar!

This Friday 18th I’ll be doing a talk at the PROXECTAR Conference in my hometown Nigrán. It has been organized by , with the idea of having a series of conversations about the process behind well-made products.
I’m very happy to be part in this first edition of , next to designers , and .archi . I’ll be talking about my career, how I started Ojea Studio and details behind the design and making process of some pieces of the Cut & Fold Collection.

A few months ago, a client asked me if I had a bigger vase that could match her previously bought Porcelain Impossible vase.
For bigger vases, I only make them in stoneware using the slab building technique, because of the weight of the plaster mold during the slip casting process.
So I showed her some design options and some glaze tests I had, and she went for this Triangle vase in a pale bluish grey satin glaze that I think turned out very nice in this one off piece.

Hace un par de meses una clienta me preguntó si tenía algún jarrón grande que quedase bien junto al Jarrón Impossible de porcelana que ya tenía. Para piezas grandes, utilizo gres con la técnica de planchas. Hacerlas en porcelana con la técnica de vaciado supondría manejar durante el proceso moldes llenos que pesarían demasiado. Valoramos algunas opciones de geometría, y le mostré algunos tests de esmaltes y eligió un gris pálido azulado satinado, que creo que quedó muy bien en esta pieza única.

We have updated the e-shop with very limited units of coffee sets. Both hessian and knit texture sets in their three sizes.
This is the last restock until September. And the e-shop will be closed between July 16th and August 5th, so make sure you place your orders before then.

Ya está actualizada la web con los sets de café que salieron del horno últimamente. Los de textura knit y los hessian. Son poquitas unidades, pero tenemos de todos los tamaños (café solo, cortado, con leche e infusión), mientras duren! Hasta septiembre no podremos reponer. Además, del 16/7 al 5/8 la e-shop estará cerrada por vacaciones, por lo que te recomendamos hacer tu pedido antes de ese periodo.

It was a pleasure to work alongside David Chipperfield in this project, and be the maker of the teapot he designed for LOEWE TEAPOTS exhibition curated by Jonathan Anderson for at Palazzo Citterio during Milan Design Week 2025 .
It was a great first time at the Milan Design Week, proud to see the blue teapot featured among such talented proffessionals' work.
Incredibly creative atmosphere all week, and in very good company, special mention to the Galician corner 😅.
