Clean energy. Clear purpose.
Around 675 million people in the world still live without electricity. More than 80% of them are in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In Ethiopia, a country of over 120 million people, more than half the population still lacks reliable power. Millions live far from the national grid, especially in rural areas.
When there is no electricity, students stop studying after sunset. Small shops close early. Farmers rely on expensive and unreliable options. Opportunity becomes limited.
HuluSolar was started to respond to this reality.
We work with communities to design and deliver affordable, decentralized solar solutions for homes, schools, health posts, and small businesses. We focus not only on access, but on using energy productively — to support agriculture, local enterprises, and income generation.
We also train young people from within the community to become Solar Ambassadors, creating local jobs and ensuring systems are maintained long term.
Our goal is to power 100,000 households by 2030 and positively impact over 1.5 million people across Ethiopia.
This is where we begin.
Energy with purpose.
