𝗧𝗼: The Concerned Government Authorities

𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁: Urgent Appeal for the Safety of Students Traveling from Mettu to Gambella

Honorable Authorities,

We, the students traveling from Mettu to Gambella, respectfully bring this serious concern to your attention regarding our safety during travel and upon arrival.

For a long time, students have been traveling this route without sufficient security protection. The journey is long and often unsafe, and in many cases we arrive in Gambella during late afternoon or evening hours (around 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Ethiopian time). At such times, the lack of organized reception and protection places students in a vulnerable situation and causes great concern for families.

We respectfully believe that education should never expose students to risk. Every student deserves safe travel, proper protection, and a secure arrival system.

Therefore, we urgently request the responsible authorities to take immediate and serious action to ensure:

* Safe and secure travel arrangements for students coming from Mettu
* Proper and organized reception upon arrival in Gambella
* Strong protection, especially during late-hour arrivals
* Long-term attention to student safety and transportation security

We sincerely hope this matter will be treated with seriousness and urgency, as it directly concerns the safety and future of many students.

We also kindly ask all our followers and the community to share this message widely so that it reaches the concerned authorities and receives the attention it deserves.

Dear Students and Young People of Gambella,

We have never been the type to speak about political matters publicly, and for a long time we remained silent. But today, as the 7th Ethiopian National Election approaches with only 5 days left, we feel a responsibility to say a few words for the sake of our future and the future of our people.

Every election is more than just choosing leaders. It is about choosing the direction our lives, education, peace, and opportunities will take tomorrow. The decisions made today can either bring hope and progress or create suffering and disappointment for the people in the years ahead.

That is why we humbly encourage every student and every young person in Gambella to think deeply before making any decision. Let us not be influenced by temporary emotions, empty promises, or pressure from others. Instead, let us choose leaders who genuinely care about the people, who respect the voices of the youth, who value education, and who are committed to peace, unity, justice, and development.

This message is not shared to create division or conflict. It is shared with respect, honesty, and concern for the future of our community. Sometimes silence is good, but there are moments when speaking the truth with wisdom becomes necessary.

The future of Gambella and Ethiopia will not be built by words alone, but by the choices we make together today.

Only 5 days remain.May wisdom, peace, and responsibility guide us all.
