The Deep Dive: Democratizing Longevity // Chapter 5: Extracellular Matrix Integrity

While collagen boosting and supplementation are cornerstones of current anti-aging strategies, protecting native collagen from degradation is a hallmark of longevity science.

The wellness industry remains fixated on forcing collagen synthesis to rejuvenate skin and tissue. However, signaling cells to produce more structural proteins is futile if acute stress is actively degrading your existing matrix.

Origin by Ocean : the building permit for Origin by Ocean’s first-of-a-kind biorefinery has been granted.

The permit covers the planned biorefinery at Industrial Park - KIP – including the production building, tanks, pipe bridges and ethanol distillation unit.

A building permit may sound like an administrative step. For a first-of-a-kind industrial project, it represents something much bigger: years of process development, engineering, safety planning and close collaboration translated into a concrete, buildable facility.

Our FOAK biorefinery will take Origin by Ocean’s technology from demonstration scale to industrial production 🏭 transforming invasive Sargassum into high-performance ingredients for industries seeking alternatives to fossil-based and environmentally burdensome raw materials.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but this decision moves the project another important step closer to reality.

What if one of the primary drivers of cellular aging isn't dead cells, but cells that refuse to die?

Just like take-make-waste linear extraction processes, one process to yield one product is an outdated model.

On this Baltic Sea Day, we are reminded that marine challenges may begin locally 〰️ but their causes, consequences, and solutions are global. 🌎
