For the 175th day of the year, we’re diving into a day in the life of this multi-mission powerhouse! Here’s a look at how the H175 family proves its versatility across offshore wind sectors, intense police operations, SAR missions, and demanding night flights.
Happy H175 day!

At our recent Defence Summit in Manching, Germany, we put our cutting-edge HTeaming solution to the test. Watch how the uncrewed Aliaca drone tracks down a suspect's vehicle after a simulated hostage situation, immediately relaying real-time intelligence directly to the crew inside an H145M helicopter. Armed with the data, the crew swoops in, intercepts the vehicle, and saves the day.

By connecting crewed helicopters and uncrewed drones in perfect tandem, we are helping security forces respond to crises faster and safer than ever before.

Eyes in the sky, controlled from the cockpit! Our teams recently partnered with the French Army to test advanced crewed-uncrewed teaming capabilities.

Watch how our HTeaming experts enabled an NH90 crew to take full control of a drone and its infrared camera using a tablet and a data link system. This technology allows the operator to anticipate events, assign tasks to the drone, and send an advanced sensor straight into hostile territory, all while keeping the helicopter in a secure zone metres away from danger.

Spotting a single person in an endless ocean or a wildfire deep in a massive forest? It’s literally like finding a needle in a haystack.
That's why we're bringing the ultimate tag-team to emergency response.
We’re pairing our helicopters with drones that act as digital "scouts." While the helicopter crew plans the rescue or prepares to fight a fire, the drones fan out using thermal cameras and computer vision to track down hot spots or missing people. Once they find them, coordinates sync instantly, and the helicopter flies straight to the target.
By working in tandem, they cut down search times and get help where it's needed, faster.

With many countries looking for high tech solutions to increase their defence and security capabilities, Airbus Helicopters is preparing for the first firing campaign of the H160M. The HForce weapon system allows the seamless integration of many armaments, including a 12.7 mm axial machine gun.

The aircraft features advanced FlytX avionics, a tactical radar, and native capability for collaboration with uncrewed systems. This modularity offers varied levels of militarisation to meet diverse mission requirements today.

On the 160th day of the year, let’s talk about the Airbus H160! 🚁 The world’s most advanced medium-twin helicopter in the sky! Did you know that the H160 was engineered with a robust, corrosion-resistant design and backed by 68 patents? It is built to handle the harshest environments with ease.
From the Gulf of Mexico to Southeast Asia, the H160 is currently proving itself as the future of offshore transportation but it won’t stop there!
Its militarised version, the H160M is continuing its development. We already have a first prototype in test and a second one is coming soon!

You know the H145 - but are you ready for the U145? 🚁 At ILA Berlin 2026, we’ll introduce an uncrewed version of the proven platform.

The U145 will feature a specialised sensor suite and artificial intelligence for full autonomy. Compared with a crewed Airbus H145 helicopter, the U145 will have no physical cockpit, and will include significant adaptations for cargo, such as an integrated nose door including a foldable loading table and a dedicated cargo floor.

First flight is locked in for late 2026. Let’s hear your thoughts below! 👇
