Dust-free sandblasting : what you need to know 💡
🔹 Both processes (sandblasting and dustfree) project an abrasive onto the surface to clean, strip, or prepare it.
🔹 Dust-free sodablasting incorporates a vacuum system that captures most of the dust during blasting, providing a cleaner and safer working environment.
🔹 In dust-free sodablasting, the abrasive is more easily recycled thanks to a suitable cyclone tank.
🔹 Stripping is slower with the dust-free system compared to free sandblasting. The nozzle is pressed against the surface, so you don’t have the distance needed to cover a wider area.
🔹 Dust-free sodablasting requires a good understanding of pressure and abrasive settings to ensure effective use and to avoid damaging the treated surface.
🔹 With dust-free sodablasting you do not have direct visibility of the treated surface during operation.
🔹 Dust-free sodablasting is particularly well suited for indoor work, weld seams, or engraving.
➡️ The dust-free system is an optional feature and can easily be added to or removed from freesodablasting equipment. Here, we are using our Colibri sodablaster with the dust-free system.
