Dressing room transformation!

Swipe to see before and after photos of this dressing room. The brief for this job was to strip the lath and plaster back to the granite walls, fully insulate walls and ceiling with rigid insulation, re-plasterboard, plaster, decorate, lay the herringbone flooring and fit wardrobes into the space. Skirting boards were also fitted to follow the same look as the hallway leading into the room.

All trades were supplied by us from start to finish and what a job they have all done!

Bathroom transformation!

This job was supposed to be fairly straightforward and one I certainly won’t forget in a hurry!

The brief was to remove the existing bathroom and fit a new one with a slightly different layout. Until the rip out started that was…

Upon closer inspection, there was a pretty bad leak coming from a burst pipe in the ceiling space above, leaking onto the ceiling and down the wall on the right hand side. As you can see, the timber around the window, the entire wall on the right and also part of the floor had to be removed as it was completely rotten.

To create space, the bath was done away with. A full width shower was installed at the end and the toilet and basin positions were also altered slightly.

The old single glazing was mis-matched and cracked so was replaced with new reeded double glazed units with a hole cut out for an extractor fan. The window cill was lowered and a pvc wrap was installed to allow it to double up as a shower seat for the elderly customers if required.

Electric power shower was installed to increase pressure without the expense of changing the house to a high pressure system and running new pipe work throughout the property. New LED lighting was installed and electric mirror fitted too.

Finally getting around to posting this job from last year.

The customer approached me about an issue with the render on the side of their house bubbling, discolouring and peeling in places. The problem was that water had made its way between the render and the carrier board and over time had created cracks, loosened the adhesion to the carrier board and given miss the perfect environment to thrive.

The most cost effective solution I came up with was to strip the carrier board and re-clad the wall in larch to match the rest of the house. Added a few extra outdoor lights to create a bit of a feature and of course added my own touch of detail around window reveals and the overhang at the top.

Another happy customer and another job to be proud of. I personally think it looks great, would you agree?
