🏡 Bespoke Pitched Canopy – Complete! 🔨🪵

A new pitched overhead canopy, built entirely from scratch and designed to complement the character of this beautiful stone property.

Starting with the existing stone walls, the new structure was built up using post supports secured onto the stonework, creating a solid foundation for the timber frame.

The work included:

🪵 New treated timber support posts, planed for a clean finish.
🔨 Bespoke pitched roof framework, constructed using treated timber.
👌 Carefully finished fascia and exposed timber detailing.
🏠 Roofing felt and synthetic slate to complete the roof.
💪 All built to suit the existing stonework and make the most of the entrance area.

The pitched roof and exposed timber framework give this one a lovely traditional look, while the finished canopy provides some much-needed shelter over the entrance.

A really satisfying build from start to finish, and a great example of what can be achieved with a bespoke timber project.

🪵 Bespoke Shed Build – Complete! 🔨✅️

This one was all about making the most of the space available and building a bespoke shed to fit perfectly within the existing area.

I wanted to create a build with the end result having a fresh, premium look!

First job was dismantling the old decking before digging down 6 inches below patio level and setting up the shuttering ready for a new concrete base.

Once the base was sorted, it was time to get stuck into the timber work! 💪

🔨 Constructed the base framework for the shed floor
🪵 Built the walls and roof to utilise the full space available
🏠 Installed the waterproofing and felt-lined roof
👌 Finished with loglap cladding, using planed timber on each corner for a clean, tidy finish
🚪 Built and fitted a bespoke door to finish it all off

A lot of work goes into a build like this before you even get to the finished product, but the end result is a practical storage space that makes full use of an otherwise awkward area.

Another bespoke timber project complete! ✅️

🏡 Box End Canopy Refurbishment Complete! 🔨

This one was all about giving the existing canopy a freshen up and bringing it back to life! 👌

The work included:

🪵 New cladding and fascia
🔨 Brand new support posts with chamfered edges
👌 Top and bottom skirting details to finish the posts off
🪚 A new balustrade linking the post back to the house

It’s amazing how much difference replacing a few key elements can make to the overall look of a property. The new timber gives it a much fresher, cleaner finish while keeping the original character of the canopy.

🚪 New Oak Doors – A Fresh Look! 🪵

Love a new oak door! It can completely change the feel and look of a room.

This job involved fitting 3 fully glazed Genoa oak doors, finished with polished satin handle packs, and 1 Howdenby door for the bathroom.

Interestingly, this house was built around 30 years ago, and all the door frames and jambs were made from MDF. 🤔 You never know what you might come across!

The main kitchen door frame needed a bit more work than expected. Once fitted, the gaps at the top and bottom were almost 20mm. Perfect if you like a breeze coming through! 😂

So, off came the architraves and frame, everything was cut and adjusted to the correct size, then reinstalled properly for the client.

The fully glazed oak doors really pop and have given each room a fresh, modern feel. 👌

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, so I thought I’d give everyone a little update.

For the last 9 months I’ve been working alongside another contractor, which has kept me extremely busy and meant CPM has taken a bit of a back seat.
