Chapter 1 of 2025 is almost over and it has been a momentous new start for us. We are grateful for the trust Lowry's Building & Civil Engineering have placed in us to deliver the groundworks package to the new Lisnaskea Health Care Centre. For ourselves after many years working away from home quite literally the length and breadth of the country, it's a welcomed return to our home county.
This project is not without its challenges, but its an opportunity that we look forward too.

We will keep you posted on our progress and as you can see we have hit the ground running, with well over 15,000 ton of stone imported from the local Lisnaskea FP McCann depot, and the bulk excavation just starting, we are beginning to find our feet.

Thanks to all the Lowry family and staff; Ian, Adam, David, Jonathan, William, Richard, Eoghain, Rhys and Cerian & thanks to all our lads so far.

First full week of the new year complete; & first full week complete on our new site in Lisnaskea Medical centre.

2025 is new direction for many aspects of what we are doing. A return to working in Northern Ireland being one; and so close to home for a new client for us in Lowry Building and Civil Engineering Ltd. Is something we’re grateful for.

The adverse weather may have had an impact on many things but hitting the ground running wasn’t one of them.

Snap crackle and pop plugging away on our busy site in Ballbriggan.
Our 145 duck servicing the site and more often than not servicing the compound as well. Fantastic to have that flexibility to allow the 140 Hyundai to keep the crusher fed, and spoil heap categorised with our 10ton kobelco

The project is intricate and strategic, weaving in and around the streets, and existing services of Ballbriggan, replacing old with new and future proofing the services and infrastructure for years to come with the inclusion of cycle lanes and revised bus stops.
Well done to the planning and organising of Jons’,
It’s one of those projects that you drop the shoulder and get stuck into but not one that’s going to run away.

With our Irish summer we had sunshine in the morning and rained off in the afternoon; but what can you do you get days like that..

Also thank you to the lads driving the machines, keeping on top of the daily checks and generally looking after and caring for the plant..something as simple as keeping them clean and tidy, fluids topped up makes staying on top of the maintenance a sinch..

Today, we proudly mark two decades of resilience, hard work, and unwavering commitment. Running a family business isn't always easy—balancing personal relationships with professional responsibilities has its unique challenges. Yet, through every high and low, we've stayed true to our core values: building strong relationships, maintaining integrity, and delivering quality that stands the test of time.

Dad started everything and still is the boss, back when he and my mum were courting the little daihatsu jeep could be taking a detour to a site or machine before any dance was attended..His work ethics, calm demeanour, problem solving ability and professionalism are traits I try and emulate.

From the age of 9 my father has been a winner of his house and a fighter as my grandfather was left in a wheelchair after a farming accident and for the last 60 years he’s been up before larks and constantly on the go, involved in every aspect of business.

Before Belfry and after being out on his own he brought my uncle in and they formed Conway Brothers Ltd. A hugely successful business that successfully delivered some unique projects and some industry leading schemes.

In a family business you share all of life’s experiences; births, deaths and marriages and everything in between, and as a family the last number of years particularly have been a struggle. Some of you may know, our situation, and also dad’s diagnosis of stage 4 bowel cancer (which is absolutely fu***ng smashing it), but mum also was sick, and we are fortunate and forever grateful to the relationships we have built and the staff we have that are willing to shoulder that responsibility and treat our family as their own.

It's been a challenging but rewarding journey, made possible by our incredible staff, loyal customers, and supportive partners. Here's to 20 years of trust, growth, and the heartwarming sense of community that keeps us going.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our story. Here's to many more years of success and togetherness!
