"The Energy Price Cap will rise 13% next month, but for many people this rise is VOLUNTARY - it can and should be avoided. You can lock in a fix right now at up to 4% less than today's Cap, never mind when it rises."- Martin Lewis

Another energy price rise announced this morning 😬

Ofgem says the Energy Price Cap is going up 13% from July, which sadly means more pressure on household budgets again.

Martin Lewis is advising people on standard tariffs to at least look at fixing before the increase hits.

I’ve been helping a few friends and families review their bills recently and, honestly, some are surprised how much they could save just by checking things properly.

No pressure or sales pitch from me - just happy to help people make sense of it all.

Broadband without the usual surprises 👇

If you’re out of contract (or nearly there), this is worth knowing…

There’s a new Full Fibre 150 broadband deal that’s currently:

✔ From £23.95/month
✔ One of the cheapest national full fibre deals in the UK
✔ No big price jump at the end of the contract
✔ Just a clear £4 increase each April (told upfront)
✔ Fast, reliable speeds (around 150 Mbps – ideal for busy households)

📉 How it compares

Across major providers (BT, Sky, EE, Plusnet etc.), prices tend to climb much higher over time.

This one stays consistently lower - mainly because everything is transparent from day one.

🚀 Extra for some households

If you’re in a CityFibre area:

👉 You could get 6 months completely free

☎️ Also launching soon...

A new digital home phone (VoIP) option:

✔ £0 monthly line rental
✔ Optional call bundles (peak/off-peak)
✔ Simple switch from traditional landlines

Anyone else opened April bills and thought… “here we go again?”

It feels like everything’s gone up at once:

💧 Water bills
🏠 Council tax
📱 Phones & broadband
🍺 Even a pint!

There is a bit of good news (some benefits up, wages rising, energy slightly down for some)…

But for most people I speak to locally, it still feels like:

👉 “It’s just constant pressure”

If April’s got you thinking “I need to get on top of this”…

Drop me a message 👍
Happy to chat - no pressure at all.

Looks like supermarket prices might be creeping up again… 🛒

Nothing huge at first - but we all know how it adds up.

It’s usually the weekly shop where you feel it first:

A few things a bit more expensive
Swapping brands without really thinking
Putting one or two things back

It’s not dramatic… just a slow squeeze.

That’s why the small stuff really matters:

Planning meals a bit more
Using loyalty points
Getting a bit of cashback on what you’re already spending

If you want to sense-check your bills or see where you might be able to ease things a bit, feel free to message me 👍

No pressure at all.

Half term has officially landed 👀

Whether it’s a day out at Thorpe Park 🎢, snacks for a movie night 🍿, or that essential coffee stop ☕… it all adds up.

One thing I’ve been using more lately is cashback on everyday spending — and it quietly takes a bit off the bills each month.

Nothing flashy, just small wins that make a difference over time 🐝

If you want to know how it works, happy to share 👍

Broadband is one of those bills most of us set… and forget.

Until it quietly creeps up 👀

There’s been a lot in the news about providers increasing prices mid-contract (often linked to inflation), and many people don’t realise how much they end up paying over time.

The tricky bit is you’re usually tied in - so switching feels like more hassle than it’s worth.

But it’s worth knowing:

✅ No connection fees
✅ No price hikes mid-contract (guaranteed)
✅ Up to £400 towards exit fees from your current provider

It’s not about chasing the “best deal”…
Just making sure you’re not paying more than you need to.

A bit like anything - small checks now can save headaches later 🐝

If you want me to take a quick look at what you’re on, happy to help 👍

Energy bills are likely going up again later this year… by around £300 😬

But what I’m noticing is this:

People aren’t panicking.

They’re just quietly getting organised now.

A few small changes here and there
Keeping a closer eye on things
Thinking ahead a bit earlier than usual

It’s actually a really steady way to handle it.

If you want to sense-check your own bills or just have a chat about ways to stay ahead of it, feel free to message me.

No pressure at all 👍
