It's coming to the end of Mental Health Awareness week and I have lost count of the number of times people have told me that they craft to improve their mental health. One lady even said it saved her life!

Having said that, it is no substitute for seeing professional help, and if you are struggling today, have lots of resources that could point you in the right direction.

Much of what I've put in this carousel I've learned from Craft Psychology by Dr Anne Kirketerp, which I've just started reading. It's so interesting to learn about the science of why we enjoy crafting so much! 💕

What could be better than 2 hours of uninterrupted crafting? Plus tea, coffee AND cake?!

Join me tomorrow night at Batheaston Village Hall for just that. Bring one of those craft projects that's been hanging around for ages, and spend some time progressing it. I can help you if needed (I've done most crafts by now! 🙈)

It's only £5 (but your first evening is free!), and it's a lovely way to spend the evening. I hope to see you there.

I feel like I've been a bit quiet round here recently! Tbh, I've been finding things a bit much, and the overwhelm is real. Just feeling low on energy and finding it hard to focus. Any tips for coping with burnout?

Anyway, it's been nice to look back on what I've been up to recently - more than I thought 😊
