🔨 Another job uncovered… and another problem solved!
This one started with a straightforward request to replace the failing lintel above the front window with a new concrete lintel.
However, once we carefully removed the old lintel & surrounding render, we discovered that a large section of the existing render had blown and was no longer securely bonded to the wall. Rather than simply patching around the new lintel and leaving a hidden issue behind, we discussed the findings with the customer and carried out the necessary repairs.
We removed all of the loose render, prepared the wall correctly, and re-rendered the affected area with a rough render s**t finish to match the existing texture as closely as possible. This means that when the customer repaints the property, the repairs will blend in seamlessly and leave a long-lasting finish.
