On Wednesday, our Managing Director Shaun presented a cheque for £1,350 to the team at Worlingham Community Hall. This was made possible by everyone who joined us at our Annual Charity Golf Day in August and contributed to the fundraising effort.

During the visit, we toured the new venue to see the impressive facilities on offer. The main hall is adaptable for a range of uses, with additional rooms for meetings, events, or office space, plus a fully equipped kitchen and bar. The team has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into creating a space that will bring real value to the community.

On Sunday, PCE took part in the 3rd Annual Beccles Soapbox Derby in a space-themed kart. 👽

This year was very close, with only a second between the top four teams. Although we narrowly missed a podium finish, our team enjoyed the day and valued being part of a great community event.

Congratulations to Broadwater Mouldings Ltd on their win, and thank you to Beccles Town Council for organising another fantastic day.

Last Friday, we hosted our 5th Annual Charity Golf Day at Halesworth Golf where seven teams of four took on the 18-hole Blyth course.

It was an enjoyable day for all, but the main aim this year was to raise funds for the new Worlingham Community Hall, which has recently opened, following 13 years of development.

We are pleased to announce that we raised £1,350 to support the new venue, which is a vibrant hub that brings people together, supports local organisations, and enhances community life in Worlingham and the surrounding villages.

We recently sat down to ask some questions and chat with Bryan Cook, who joined the family boat building team a few years after the inception of the business in 1961, when PCE Automation (known then as EJ Cook & Sons) was a small boat building and hire company down by the River Waveney in Beccles.

Bryan worked at the business for many years, witnessing our evolution and growth over that time, before retiring in 2000. During the chat, Bryan shared his perspective, touching on the business's history and what he hopes to see in PCE’s future. ⚙️

Yesterday, we welcomed Computing and Business students from Sir John Leman High School to our Beccles site. 💻

The students heard directly from our Sales, HR, Quality, Marketing, IT, Engineering, and Accounts teams, gaining a real sense of how each department contributes to our day-to-day operations. Their site tour also highlighted the important role that computing and business skills play in delivering projects and supporting our customers.
