Upper Heyford Oxfordshire removal of former aviation fuel pods for new housing.

It's not clear what these are if you don't already know. But this is the remains of the former storage silos at Upper Heyford. These are the silos located at the Lower Heyford end of Camp Rd, Upper Heyford Oxfordshire. They are being slowly torn down to make way for new housing/building as the former USAF airbase gets transformed in to a modern community. This is how they look after over 3 weeks of mechanical demolition. I think that they are about 2/3 of the way down the former grass laden silos so a few weeks to go yet if you want to see how the builders are progressing.
