One of our Spierings SK597 out on a contract lift in Birmingham earlier this week. Nice to have one of our cranes working right in our home city. The SK597 is spot on for these tighter urban sites, good reach without taking up too much room on the ground.
The lads had it set up and running well on this job. Always satisfying seeing our gear helping with the city’s ongoing development. Thanks to the team on site and to our client for the work. A real pleasure to be at Spierings in Holland to collect our new SK1265-AT6 eLift.

The SK1265 eLift is a serious addition to our fleet — delivering the reach and performance Spierings is known for, with fully electric on-site crane operations. Zero on-site emissions, reduced noise, and the ability to work in restricted urban environments without compromising capability. More flexibility for our clients and another step toward a lower-carbon operation for us.

As the cat is now out of the bag... 🦁

Birmingham Crane Hire is incredibly proud to have carried out the contract lift of a stunning lion statue at Villa Park for Aston Villa Football Club, as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations — a landmark moment in the club’s rich history.

Created by the talented sculptor Tanya Russell, the statue now stands proudly at the stadium, symbolising strength, heritage, and pride.

Using our Liebherr LTM1060, this was a complex and carefully planned lift, executed safely and professionally by our fantastic team on the ground: Paddy, Darren, John, and Matt — who worked across two days to ensure everything went seamlessly.

It’s an honour to be involved in such a historic project for one of football’s most iconic clubs.
