Good representation of Heartlands Respiratory Failure and Mechanical Ventilation team and its works at the Winter BTS 2024 https://www.facebook.com/BritishThoracicSociety

Most importantly, the Heartlands Hospital and Birmingham Chest Clinic NHS RFMV team has been included in the UK and European Home Mechanical Ventilation registry and recognised for its contribution to the EPiC-HFT clinical trial, for which special thanks are due to and her team. Shout out to Amy Oakes for her contributions as she couldn't attend.

🌟Meet our incredible Respiratory Failure and Mechanical Ventilation Team. 🌟

Let's shine a spotlight on the work of our team at the Respiratory Assessment Discharge Area in Ward 24.

For the past two years, this compassionate team of specialist nurses, physiotherapists, physiologists, and doctors has supported over 700 respiratory patients. πŸ₯

Their unwavering dedication has not only provided essential support and advice, but has also kept patients from facing hospital admissions or needing emergency care. With swift access for patients experiencing respiratory distress, whether at the clinic, at home, or within our community, this team is always just a call away.

Grateful patient Jacqueline echoes the sentiments of many, expressing her deep appreciation: "The team are always there if I need them, it’s so reassuring to know that the team are there for me – if I couldn’t speak to someone, a little problem could turn into a larger problem. I really appreciate all that they do for me.”

We're immensely proud of their commitment to ensuring our patients and community stay healthy and safe. Thank you to the team for all that you do for our patients πŸ‘
