The part of my job that never gets easier, saying goodbye as they leave for school! It's made a little better knowing that they have grown and developed over the time they've been with us, made special friends, memories and have everything they need in their little backpack of knowledge and experiences to be able to navigate their next adventure, but also how they've taught me and helped me grow as a childminder too!

Today we had a walk around and found pine cones and conkers, we broke into the conkers but saw they aren't quite ready yet, we could see lots more on the trees and are looking forward to going back soon!

On Tuesday we enjoyed a walk and tested out our new backpacks. On our walk we noticed signs that the seasons are changing! We walked around 2 miles and even had enough energy left in our legs to have a play on the park!

Very excitingly on the beach we found a fossil! We searched and found it was a vertebra from maybe a whale or dolphin!

On Friday we went to the park and bumped into two of our friends! We also had lots of fun playing at home!

Two more official days left of the summer, it has definitely gone far too fast but has been a lovely mix of busy work days and some time off for family fun. We are looking forward to seeing our term time only friends and gearing what they've been up to!

On Thursday we asked for a home day, we danced the rain which turned out to be just a few raindrops! Picked strawberries...

On Thursday we asked for a home day, we danced the rain which turned out to be just a few raindrops! Picked strawberries and tomatoes, smelled the flowers, looked at the clouds and tried to see which they were in the cloud book, created with paint sticks, played with water, had cuddles with Nelly and had fun with the sheets!

A big part of our curriculum is learning how to play together, building on our play as we grow and develop, it is natural that we come across disagreements or wanting to play with the same toy! We are always supported through these conflicts but now we have some visuals we can be supported to look through and help us decide what we can do to solve it and move on with our play!
