We are making a stand not just for Bishton but for all the small country villages being lured in to a false illusion of ‘green energy’, when there is nothing green about their idea of tearing up land, ripping out hedgerows and the solar panels only lasting a handful of years before they head to landfill?!?!

Let’s save the world by destroying it…. All for the rich to get richer. 💚

The village of Bishton, bookended by a church dating back to 570 at one end and the ruins of a medieval castle at the other, has just 70 or so houses and a rich ecology but it could soon be engulfed by one of the UK's largest ever solar power stations

I was pleased to meet with Mike Webb from Gwent Wildlife Trust at Newport office this morning.

There are increasing concerns locally about proposed developments on the Levels. We need to put a stop to this because if we don’t our local villages and biodiversity will suffer as a result.

Gwent Wildlife Trust have recently set up a petition calling for a halt to significant new developments on the Levels SSSIs. You can sign it on the link below ⬇️

TV naturalist Iolo Williams is backing our campaign to save the Gwent Levels landscape, describing it as “gloriously beautiful, rich in biodiversity, and utterly irreplaceable.”

“In order to safeguard this amazingly rich mosaic of habitats, supporting some incredibly rare species, I would ask you to please sign Gwent Wildlife’s Trusts’ two petitions to help secure the future of this special landscape.”
