This call out from a few weeks ago could have been a disaster!

At around 4pm we get a call from a regular customer who has had a power cut out of the blue and can smell burning! This is what they have found and we get right on the case.
Replacement material collected, repaired and re-energised in just 3 hours.

Keeping our customers and their households safe is an important part of the job and glad we could offer a quick turnaround on this one!

First days on a new project this week. New location for a growing local gym in Blairgowrie.

Our scissor lift is on site, PVC trunking is up, holes cored for cable routes and extractor fans, first fix complete in entrance/social area.

Very productive first week, excited to give updates as this project progresses!

Another EV charger completed last week in Kilry, near Alyth!

For this job we recommended the Myenergi Zappi to our client. The main reasoning for this is the compatibility with Solar PV. The Zappi has the ability to monitor your solar usage, combine solar and grid power to charge your car, or charge entirely from your solar generation!

All this while being compatible with the Octopus Go Smart Tarriff!

⚡️Reactive works⚡️

📞 We had a call out a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday for a circuit tripping at Dunkeld and Birnam Guide Hall, the fault turned out to be a nick in a cable that had eventually started to short out.

🪛 Once repaired, we discovered that two of the emergency lights had failed and one of the bulkhead lights had disintegrated to the point that it became hazardous.

💡Quickly made the light safe before quoting the customer for replacements before returning last week and replacing the faulty lights.

Reactive works like this are all part of an electricians job, keeping your property safe and functioning.

We were recently contacted by a customer who was looking for a few small electrical jobs to be done around their house, one of which was adding in a recirculating extractor fan above the hob.
In a typical kitchen, the extractor would be mounted on the wall, but with the hob being on the breakfast bar, an island extractor was the only option.

Loved the challenge of getting the wiring to this without any damage, and fitting something a little different for a customer is always satisfying!

This soffit lighting has turned the front of a repeat customers house into quite the feature!

The lights we used were Ansell Prism Pros which are our go-to downlight. They allow choice of 4 different white colours and 2 brightness levels to perfectly light any space. All paired with a satin chrome bezel to match this customers colour scheme.

One of this weeks client has been working from this old grain shed turned workshop for years with very poor lighting. Previously there were only 3 led batons, which at the height and size of space, did very little to work under.

We supplied and fitted 10 x 100w Ansell High Bay lights. This ensures there is enough light to comfortably work on cars and plant, no longer needing lamps and torches.

Electric Vehicle Charger 🚗 ⚡️

This week has been another busy one and finished it off with this VCHRGD EV Charger!
It was our first time fitting a VCHRGD unit and it was a breeze. The customer choose this unit as it is well priced and compatible with the Octopus Tarrif.

This job involved drilling through not one but 2 600mm stone walls!

We used EV Ultra Cat 5 cable for load monitoring and allowance for future solar monitoring.

As the existing consumer unit is at capacity, a second consumer unit was required. This allowed for Surge Protection to be added easily and gives the customer spare ways for any extra circuits.
