Lodge Fabrications Ltd works very closely alongside Fountain Plants, and together we have collaborated on countless projects over the past 20 years. Fountain Plants is continuously reviewing every aspect of its operations to identify improvements that support growth and efficiency.

One of the small improvements we have recently been working on focuses on improving the quality of seeding on both Plant Tape seeding machines. Rows 1 and 21 of the FM material are more difficult to seed due to the way the material is manufactured and then shipped from America. This characteristic can affect the consistency of the seeding process, and our work aims to help address this challenge and improve overall seeding quality.

We're Hiring !!!

It's busy times here at Lodge & we're looking to add to our work force.

What you’ll be doing:
MIG welding to a high standard.
Tig welding is advantageous but not essential.
Repairing and servicing machinery.
Assisting with fabrication of steel components and assemblys.
Reading and working from basic engineering drawings.
Working with press brakes, lathes, plasma cutters.
Using workshop tools and machinery safely.

What we’re looking for:
A positive attitude and willingness to work by yourself and with others when required.
Keen interest in welding, fabrication and engineering.
Good practical skills and attention to detail is a must.
Reliable, punctual, and keen to develop new skills.
GCSEs / college course in engineering or welding is helpful but not essential.
Someone who can resolve problems when there occur.

Bucket we made for their new Jcb that they had delivered last week, fully constructed using 8mm steel plate, 20mm hardox bottom plates, 10mm hardox plated sides.

That's another brand new 14m wrap round leaving our yard this week, attached is an older rig trailer that's been in to have all the modifications of the last leek rig. Ready to harvest in time for your Christmas dinner.

We've had a busy few months in the yard on so many different projects but this one has taken up the majority of our time, everyone at Lodge has been involved at some point and all have done an amazing job on such a great project.

First one of 3 new Leek Trailers leaving our yard this week, these trailers are equipped with 2 x stainless water tanks between the chassis to transfer fresh water to the new leek harvesting rig we have built. More pictures to follow this week.

Our folding leek rig is painted, sheet is fitted and aluminium floor fitted, led working lights above the leek washer, pumps are installed. Still abit to do over the next couple of weeks before she makes her way to the field. T H Clements & Son Ltd
