‼️‼️ Notice to all customers who have us booked in for work between today until Thursday (22nd-25th) ‼️‼️

The MET office have released multiple 🟠amber warnings 🟠 relating to the extreme increase in heat we are expected to experience in the coming days these have now been amplified to 🔴 red warnings 🔴. Its reported heats are expected to reach approximately 38*- 40*🔥

Inline with our insurance cover we have been advised that it is not safe to carry out any works during our standard operating hours due to the temperatures expected in the coming days. ☀️🌕

At the advise of our insurance provider the difficult decisions has been taken to temporarily cease all mechanical and electrical works until we receive communication from our insurance provider advising us on the next best steps to keep us operating.

Safety of us, our customers and their vehicles/equipment is always paramount, we always strive to provide the best service we possibly can while operating safely to protect us all. 👍

We will keep our customers updated once communication have been received and our next steps have been decided!

Customer contacted us with concerns that that their BMW X4 was showing a warning on the dash board for low oil level, they informed us the oil had been topped up a few liters but the dashboard still showed it as critically low.

The customer contacted their insurance/breakdown provider who attended and said there was no faults with the vehicle and might just need a service (no big issue ay?) 🫣

We attended, carried out a few checked via our diagnostics equipment and found multiple fault codes stored relating to the oil level sensor.

We removed the oil filter and found this 😳 how the engine was still running I don’t know but the customer is lucky to still have a running vehicle.

Full service carried out, oil filter replaced with quality oil. Unfortunately as a result of poor maintenance the oil level sensor requires replacing.

This again emphasises the importance of routine servicing/maintenance, skipping a service can have detrimental effects which prove very costly.

If the sensor hadn’t of failed and prompted the customer to get it checked it probably wouldn’t be running much longer💥

One lucky customer and one even luckier engine🧰

DB Vehicle Services gave us a call when this one wasn’t happy, the vehicle has previously visited a garage local to the customer who unfortunately didn’t diagnose the fault correctly.

We attended same day at the customers work address for convenience, carried out a full investigation into the fault and found the handy work of rodents.

The system was reporting a headlamp fault with fault codes stored for the level sensor, the wiring was traced from the plug and found to have multiple areas of damage.

Wiring repaired and system tested and all working correctly.

Shout of to Dave for rolling around on the floor with me just to fit BMWs brilliant retaining clips 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

One happy customer and another rodent damage repair carried out 🧰

📍Boorley Park this morning for a service on a 2024 Audi A5, genuine oil filter supplied and fitted.

While in attendance the customer asked for us to take a look at her new company car which has been sat for a little while. Being a hybrid this vehicle isn’t fitted with a standard car battery as it relies on the electric system to start the engine.

However the small 12v battery had gotten so low the system had shut down to keep itself safe. A quick jumpstart and check of the charging system it was found the fault was just from sitting unused.

Both back operational and in top shape 🧰

I smell a 🐀

Out to the forest today for this A4 which had been the victim of a 4 legged friend

DB Vehicle Services attended the vehicle to carry out routine maintenance when the customer reported multiple faults on the dash and the vehicle not acting correctly.

When Dave opened the bonnet he was met with the remains of a main ECU (the brain) wiring harness which seems to have been the little friend’s lunch.

Loom stripped back to clean untouched wire, new sections spliced in and re wrapped in line with manufacturers quality (if not better😉)

Full diagnostics carried out and all faults cleared from system, a full look over all exposed wiring looms to be sure and one happy vehicle back running as it should! 👌

An OE quality repair saving the customer £££ in repairs if the vehicle had visited the main dealer 💷
