✨ Things are moving along nicely at Grey Walls in Windermere.

The upper floors have now been plastered, with kitchens and windows being installed and bathrooms being tiled this week. Meanwhile, the lower levels continue to progress through stud walling and first-fix works.

As different areas of the building reach key milestones, careful planning and close collaboration between our team and trusted trades are helping to keep the project on track. It's exciting to see Grey Walls taking shape. Keep an eye out for more updates, including a full walkthrough, coming soon. 📽 🎉

Employee of the month | June

A big well done to Ian for being named our June employee of the month.
Ian is one of our plumbers and the man behind some seriously tidy pipework. Anyone who's seen his manifold walls will know exactly what we mean, every pipe run clean, level and perfectly labelled, right down to the last unit. It's the kind of quality you don't often see, and it's a proper credit to the trade.
Beyond the standard of his work, Ian's a hard worker who takes real pride in doing the job right. That attention to detail is exactly what our clients trust Oakden to deliver.

Employee of the month | May

A big well done to Paul for being named our May employee of the month.
Paul is one of our joiners and a real steady hand on site, the kind of grafter who quietly gets on and does a brilliant job day in, day out.
His work is consistently spot on, he's polite with everyone he deals with, and our customers absolutely love him. Time and again clients tell us how much they've enjoyed having Paul on their project.
That reliability and that attitude are exactly what Oakden is all about.

Our 17th van has joined the fleet, in the new Bespoke Builds & Interiors livery.
We've also got four new people starting over the next couple of weeks. The team and the fleet are both growing, which means more capacity to take on work across the Lakes.

Walking boots on instead of work boots, a few of us headed up Red Screes after work earlier this week. Two hours in the fells, cracking views from the top, and some well-earned rehydration at the new Kirkstone Inn to finish.
Sometimes the best end to a working day is just getting up into the hills.

A big well done to Connor for being named our April employee of the month 👏

Connor joined the team recently and has already made a massive impression on everyone on site.

Known around the job as the world’s strongest man, Connor brings a brilliant attitude to work every day. Always positive, always willing to graft, and always getting stuck in wherever needed.

He has settled into the team quickly and has already proved himself to be another brilliant addition to Oakden.

A big well done to Mark for being named our March employee of the month 👏

Although Mark only joined the team relatively recently, he has already proved himself to be a brilliant addition to Oakden.

Working as site labourer at Grey Walls, Mark brings a level of energy and work ethic that never seems to stop. Always on the go, always helping, and always keeping things moving on site. It did not take long before the lads gave him the nickname “The Duracell Bunny” and anyone who has worked alongside him will understand why.

A top attitude, a great work ethic, and fully deserved recognition.
