Well after a full month and a half of rain we finally got to complete our latest project to kick start 2026!

We came to this job looking to make a change converting a old out dated garage and overgrown grass area, into a usable garage room with a rubber flat roof, black facia, and 30m2 patio✅

All the works carried out in the photos are completed by RhysThomasBrickwork

We split the garage into a storage room with a gym/sitting area to the customers specification, also using a Bodo beige 900x600mm porcelain patio providing a sitting area/ pathway to the garage 🧱

Happy new year to all previous,existing and new customers coming into the year 2026

Want to say a massive thank you to everyone who trusted RTB to carry there home improvements out in 2025 and as a company we are very grateful and had a successful year!!!!

Been quite on here as of late and just some small jobs on going here and there to keep up ticking over through the cold and wet weather❄️

Job opportunity 🧱

Any youngsters looking to get into the bricklaying trade? No past experience needed within the industry!

I want someone who has an interest in bricklaying who WANTS to learn, I will be taking time out of my day to show you the skills/hardwork and craftsmanship it takes to become a bricklayer, becoming a top labourer comes first within the trade then the trowel comes next ✅

Can be put through college in September fresh for the new college year if this is something that you want to do “ even though I think it’s a load of rubbish 😂”

Must drive or live locally to Bridgend ✅

A extension complete over the last 5 days for GT Developments Ltd down in beddau📍

Bobble hats and thermals were out this week with temperatures dropping rapidly over the last couple of days but all up to wall plate ready for the joists and roof lantern to be cut on 🔨

A 30m2 kandla grey Indian sandstone patio with a tungsten easy joint pointing grout, completed over last 2 days in a job in Bridgend this week✅

Turning an unused dull concrete slabbed area into a pathway/sitting area😍

Garden transformation 🧱✅

A full garden makeover for a lovely pair of customers down in pencoed over the last 2 weeks 🧱

Customers got in touch and wanted a full makeover done to there garden and they are over the moon✅

A rural blend brick with a yellow mortar to match in with the bellezza riva lite porcelain patio, a border of brickwork and a higher platform for a sitting area and wider and shallow steps to fit the customers needs!

Now some fake grass and glass handrails and panels on the top platform to finish of this project and an enjoyable one it’s been

Porth📍

Garage conversion competed in porth over the last 2 days!

Customer wanted to change the dead space in the garage and turn it into a useable room so they got in touch and they got exactly what they asked for, bricked up and concrete sills fitted with a window to match the rest of the house🧱

A big thank you to the customers who were unbelievably patient with the 10 week wait on the sills supplied by cymru stone, and great hospitality from them both with unlimited supply of cups of tea ☕️

One year ago today, I decided to make the jump and start my own business adventure in the self employed world, with absolutely no idea how to run a business one year later we are still going strong👍🏻

In just a 1 year time frame we have over 40 jobs completed , as you can see in the photo all I started with was a mixer and a couple of tools and away I went

I want to thank all previous customers for putting there trust and faith into me to get the jobs they wanted completing to the highest of standards, and helpers I’ve had along the way to make RhysThomasBrickwork what it is today, and fingers crossed many more years to come 🧱✅
