In recent years, lime’s suitability for restoring historic buildings and the important part it can play in creating modern, healthy and energy-efficient buildings has led to a rise in popularity among construction professionals.

Meet the trainer: Nicholas Heath MA MSc.

Nick is a Certified Consultant and Founding Director of NDM Heath Ltd, an independent sustainable energy consultancy working across the UK.

He has led several award-winning historic building retrofit projects, which have led to changes in local planning policy and are regarded internationally as examples of best practice.

Nicholas is also Associate Director of the Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance (STBA), Affiliate of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC), Fellow of the former Centre of Refurbishment Excellence (CoRE), Member of the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB), Steering Group member of The Green Register and a part-time lecturer at the University of York. In addition, he is a licenced PHPP, SAP, RdSAP and BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment Assessor.

Nick is the trainer for Retrofitting Traditional Buildings, which begins next week. Learn more on our website.
