Kinu House is a thoughtfully renovated holiday home in Niseko, Japan, where Breathaplasta Universal was chosen to promote a healthier indoor environment.

We have officially launched in Asia!

We are bringing our circular and carbon-negative materials to one of the world’s fastest growing construction markets through a strategic collaboration with The GEAR by Kajima, the innovation and technologies services arm of Kajima.

Delivered through The GEAR Startup CoLab Programme, this collaboration has enabled the first demonstration of Adaptavate’s products, Breathaboard, Breathaplasta and Carbonboard, at The GEAR building in Singapore.

This showcase is a platform to generate real-world performance evidence, build market confidence in bio-based, carbon-negative construction materials, and support early commercial adoption across the APAC region.

With a high-profile project already confirmed and local production partnerships being explored, it is only the beginning.

We’ll be presenting our first-of-a-kind interior partition, built with high-performance, carbon-negative drop-in materials, and what this can unlock for the region. As part of The GEAR Startup CoLab Programme, this proof of concept demonstrates how our regenerative, healthy materials perform in Asian climate conditions and integrate with existing construction systems. Another week building momentum around the next generation of materials.

From Tech Tour GreenCity to the pitch stage at Innovate UK, the focus continues to grow around solutions that can decarbonise the construction industry.

In Paris, our CEO and founder, Tom, was recognised as one of the top presenters, highlighting the growing relevance of material innovation that can deliver both performance and scalability across the built environment.

In the UK, he joined the Catalysing investment into scalable building material ventures pitch event, hosted by Innovate UK in partnership with Sensicon Ventures and Carbon Limiting Technologies, highlighting high-impact solutions in construction.

Across both stages, the direction is clear. There is growing alignment around high-performance, healthy materials that reduce embodied carbon and can be adopted at the scale needed through existing installation methods.

Adaptavate launches its solutions in Asia!

Next week, we’re hosting an exclusive Adatavate showcase in Singapore, at The GEAR by Kajima: Bringing Planet-Positive Construction Innovation to Asia.

This session marks the first wall in Asia installed with Adaptavate materials. It demonstrates how our carbon-negative, drop-in solutions perform in Asian climate conditions and integrate with existing construction systems.

This is an opportunity to bring the industry together to explore healthy, drop-in innovations that can deliver real value in the region. Through collaboration, we can scale solutions that respond to local needs and help shape a better future for the built environment.

Happy Global Recycling Day!

At Adaptavate, we’re rethinking what’s possible when waste becomes a resource.

We develop building materials that work in balance with the planet, turning overlooked resources into high-performance, low-carbon and carbon-negative solutions. Our technology enables products made with renewable, local feedstocks and waste that are fully compostable at end of life. These circular materials are designed as drop-in solutions that integrate into existing construction systems and provide manufacturers with a scalable pathway towards regenerative construction.

Today is a reminder that before we turn to finite resources, we can choose to recycle and reuse what’s already available.

What if the materials we build with never became waste?

We’re proud to see Breathaboard featured in the Circularity in Practice initiative, inspired by His Majesty King Charles III. The initiative brings together businesses across the UK to design out waste and extend the life of materials through reuse, remanufacturing, and repurposing. This sits at the core of what we do at Adaptavate - rethinking how building materials are formulated and manufactured. The goal is developing solutions that are healthier for people, regenerative for the planet, and profitable at an industrial and international scale.

Breathaboard is part of that shift. It is a bio-based plasterboard alternative made from renewable local feedstocks, designed with its end of life in mind. It is produced through a circular process, absorbs CO2 as it cures, and is fully compostable.
