⚽ Seven years of support—and counting!

Weaver Demolition is proud to sponsor Hutton U12s for the seventh consecutive year. Having supported the team since their U6 days, it’s been a pleasure to see the players grow and progress together.

A special thank-you to the coaches and volunteers who give their time, energy and commitment to make it all happen. Grassroots football depends on their hard work, giving young people the chance to develop skills, build friendships and enjoy the game.

It’s Recycle Week, but for Weaver Demolition recycling is simply part of the job.

On a demolition project, taking the building down is only part of the process. What happens to the materials afterwards matters just as much.

At our Passage Street project, 3,100 tonnes of hardcore was crushed into recycled aggregate, alongside 400 tonnes of metal and almost 60 tonnes of timber recovered from the site.

At Pydar Street in Truro, around 3,500 tonnes of hardcore was processed into recycled aggregate and kept on site for the client’s future redevelopment – avoiding around 190 HGV movements in the process.

These aren’t things we do specifically for Recycle Week. They’re examples of what happens on our projects every day.

Good demolition planning means looking at what can be recovered, reused or recycled before work starts, and making sure materials are treated as a resource rather than simply as waste.

👷 Inspiring the next generation!

We had a very enthusiastic young visitor watching the action on one of our demolition sites recently.

A local resident brought his five-year-old son along to see the demolition in progress — and, armed with his instant camera, he captured his own view of the project before putting together this brilliant collage for the Weaver team.

We absolutely love it.

It’s great to see the next generation taking such an interest in what we do. Who knows… give it a few years and we might have another member of the Weaver team on our hands! 👷‍♂️🏗️

This complex project required the safe removal of asbestos, a full internal soft strip and the controlled demolition of the fire station, all while operating immediately alongside a live ambulance station. We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV (C +E) hook lift driver with draw-bar experience. This role is ideal for an experienced driver who takes pride in operating safely and maintaining high standards. Our works are based across the South of England and Wales and therefore nights out are required where workload dictates. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, a strong communicator, and work well both in a team and independently.

Responsibilities
- Operate one of our RORO vehicles in an safe and efficient manner, in line with company requirements
- Complete daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects ensuing that your vehicle is roadworthy and presentable to Company standards
- Comply with all legislation including drivers hours and highway regulations
- Complete and maintain paperwork in line with company procedures

Qualifications and experience
- Must have RoRo and drawbar experience
- Full driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on licence
- HGV (C+E) driving licence
- Valid driver CPC card
- Valid digital tachograph card

Bath Fire Station was a landmark building with a long history in the city, and we were proud to be entrusted with delivering the enabling works and demolition package on this significant project.

Our team carried out a full programme of works, including asbestos removal, soft strip, demolition, ground remediation and the creation of a piling mat, all within a sensitive city-centre environment.

Projects involving historic buildings require far more than simply taking structures down. They demand careful planning, extensive surveys, robust environmental controls and a highly experienced team capable of protecting neighbouring properties, local businesses and the wider community throughout the process.

While buildings often hold a special place in the hearts of local residents, there are occasions when redevelopment becomes necessary to meet modern safety standards, operational requirements and the future needs of a city. Our role is to ensure that process is carried out safely, responsibly and with the utmost respect for both the site and its surroundings.
