Addfield Projects' latest case study is now live and it's all about how Singapore generates vast quantities of clinical and hazardous waste every year, and disposing of it safely has always come at a cost, in energy use, grid reliance, and environmental impact.
Chem Solv Technologies, one of Singapore's leading waste treatment providers, came to Addfield Projects looking for something different. A high-capacity incinerator that could destroy up to 4,000 tonnes of clinical waste a year and generate electricity in the process.
The result is an R500 Rotary waste-to-energy system, processing up to 500kg of waste per hour and generating enough clean electricity to power the entire site. Waste volume is reduced by as much as 97% before gases pass through advanced filtering, all before clean air is returned to the environment.
It's a strong example of what waste management can look like when sustainability is built in from the start, not added on afterwards.
