We’re back baby!
Everyone keeps asking why the social media step back for the past 6 months. Well, we can’t do everything!
We have been focusing on the quality of our work whilst also moving into our new office which has taken a considerable amount of time and effort from the entire Apex team!
Some sneak peak pictures of our downstairs training and meeting area along with our fully functioning rotating training rig so we can train our engineers and installers in the comfort of our HQ.

🚨 Trainee MVHR Engineer – Apex Ventilations Ltd

We’re expanding our team at Apex Ventilations Ltd and are looking for a Trainee MVHR Engineer to join us on a self-employed/subcontractor basis, with the potential to move into a full-time, permanent role depending on progress and performance.

You’ll receive full training and hands-on, on-site experience in:

MVHR commissioning (balancing and fine-tuning airflows)

MVHR servicing and maintenance

Remedial installation work

Full system repairs and replacements

What we’re looking for:

Ideally some previous engineering or mechanical experience (but not essential — we’ll train the right person)

Strong communication skills — you’ll be working in high-end Passivhaus and Grand Design homes, often directly with homeowners

A proactive, reliable attitude and willingness to learn

A technically minded individual

Pay: Day rate based on experience.
MUST HAVE A FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a specialist and rapidly evolving sector, with a clear route to a secure, long-term position for the right candidate.

🌍 Incredible Visit to Komfovent in Lithuania! 🇱🇹

Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting Komfovent in Lithuania and experiencing their fantastic hospitality. A huge thank you to their team for an insightful and inspiring trip!

Exploring their state-of-the-art factory and production processes reinforced why Komfovent is such a forward-thinking manufacturer. This visit gave our team the opportunity to dive deeper into their MVHR product range, understand the technical aspects, and solidify our decision to add their strong, reliable, and high-quality systems to our portfolio.

Alongside the factory visit, we also had the chance to explore the beautiful city of Vilnius. An incredible city full of history, stunning architecture, and a vibrant atmosphere—definitely a highlight of the trip!

🔍 MVHR Investigation & Shocking Removal – When Will Things Change?

We thought this MVHR system was bad... but never this bad.

Elderly residents had been feeling unwell more often recently, and after our investigation, we’re not surprised. The system was riddled with severe mold contamination, caused by incorrectly insulated ducting in a cold loft space—some sections weren’t even insulated at all!

This isn’t just a case of poor installation—it’s a failure in duty of care. When ventilation systems are done on the cheap, they don’t just fail to meet regulations—they become a health hazard.

💭 When will things actually change in this industry? Cheap doesn't mean best, and it certainly doesn’t mean compliant.

We are a leading company specializing in ventilation and heat recovery systems for residential properties. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Trainee Domestic Duct Fitter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop a career in the mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR) industry.

Role Overview:
As an MVHR Trainee Domestic Duct Fitter, you will work alongside experienced installers to learn and assist in the installation of domestic ventilation systems. You will gain hands-on experience in fitting ductwork, ensuring high standards of workmanship, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation of domestic MVHR systems in new builds and retrofit properties.
• Measure, cut, and assemble ducting materials according to specifications.
• Work under supervision to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Follow instructions from senior fitters and site supervisors.
• Learn to interpret technical drawings and installation manuals.
• Travel to various job sites as required.

Requirements:
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in MVHR installation.
• Basic knowledge of tools and construction practices (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

And here it is, our newest addition to our apex group. ECCHO offers specific design and consultancy to the wider domestic ventilation community, specifically to project managers, architects and m&e customers.

Eventually we plan to delve into passivhaus consultancy and eco friendly/sustainable product design and consultancy.
