Finished shots of a long field wall we build early this year north of York.
This was an interesting one as we had to incorporate sand stone and limestone into the same wall.

Finished repair job on a low dry stone wall and mortared pillar in Bradford. At some point last year, a horse chestnut tree came down and destroyed the customer’s wall and garden, narrowly missing their house. We worked closely with our good pal AMCS to repair their wall and pillar and build a new fence.
Nice little job completed, v happy customers. 👍

We completed this beast of a retaining dry stone wall early this year in Rawdon, West Yorkshire.
Measures about 2.2m tall and around 20m long.
This was a difficult job to execute as it was on a really steep hill in the middle of a very cold and wet winter. Worth the slog though 👊

We had the pleasure of re-building an area of wall which we think was an old bothy(?). It equated to about 50sqm of wall (very tall walls). Topped off with some York stone slabs. Really enjoyed this one, gorgeous scenery and weather, great job overall. Included some before and WIP shots too so you can see the process.

Finished shots of a fairly unusual retaining wall in Roundhay, Leeds with integrated cast iron posts.
It was pretty tight for space so we ended up incorporating the posts into the front edge of the wall which created a pleasing ‘segmented’ wall effect.
It’s dry stone effect but is actually cemented at the back.

Finally getting round to posting about a few jobs we’ve completed recently.
This was a re-build outside the front of a house in Roundhay, Leeds. It’s a retaining wall which then got tied into an adjacent wall running up the drive. We mostly re-used the stone from the old wall, minus a few bigger stone we got in for the footings. The copestones were handmade by us.
Also some of the leftover stone was re-used in the bordering of the flower bed alongside the path, which we feel finished off the job well. The number 8 was hand carved by Ceri too, painted black to make it pop.

We finally pulled our fingers out and booked ourselves in for our Dry Stone Walling Level 2 Intermediate test with the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain.
Safe to say we both passed. 👊 ⚒️
