We’re proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for Transport Infrastructure Project of the Year for the Bristol Airport Public Transport Interchange Project and Multi-Storey Car Park at the ACE Consultancy & Engineering Awards 2026.

The winners will be announced on 1st of December 2026 at the ceremony in London’s Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington. We are so proud to have been shortlisted, and cannot wait to attend this event to celebrate all the hard work that goes into shaping the build environment.

Learning, teamwork and a few laughs along the way!

Following a productive All Hands Future Fit Training and Team Skills Development Workshop yesterday, team Burroughs came together for a lunchtime quiz today!

A huge thank you to the brilliant Rhys Meredith, who had everyone in stitches with his fantastic acting and karaoke skills! 🎤😂

A brilliant couple of days bringing the team together, combining learning, collaboration and plenty of laughter along the way!

Today, 10th October, is World Mental Health Day.

At Burroughs, we’re proud to be supporting bigmoose’s Project £1 Million 3.0, helping to raise vital funds for accessible mental health therapy.

The project brings together 100 teams, all taking on a 24-hour cycling challenge with one goal: to raise £1 million to fund life-saving therapy.

Mental health support should be accessible to everyone, without waiting lists, criteria or judgment. We’re proud to play our part in supporting a cause that can make a real difference to people’s lives.

Hampton Bridge has landed!

The 86m main section of the Hampton Bridge over the River Avon has been placed, forming the key element to the Hampton to Evesham active travel route for Worcestershire County Council.

Crowds lined both banks to see the main bridge span, weighing around 114 tonnes, carefully lifted into place from its construction area near Corporation Meadow.

Burroughs along with partners COWI, Moxon Architects Ltd., TACP and Wallingford Hydro Solutions, were engaged by Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited to take the bridge and active travel route through surveys, concept design, Public Consultation, Planning, detailed design and construction support, so it’s great to see the bridge safely landed in place!

To reduce risk from flooding interrupting the works, the bridge was fabricated in parts at the workshop of Allerton Steel Ltd and brought to site in sections up to 33m, before being joined together on site ready to be lifted in with a 1500tonne capacity crane.

The bridge links include an elevated causeway over the floodplain, with construction continuing for this and the ground level paths at both ends.

Hampton Bridge adds to the successful delivery of schemes together including Worcester Southern Link Road Phase 4 over the River Severn, and Pershore Northern link over the Oxford Worcester rail line, providing sustainable links across Worcestershire.
