🚰 From Plumbing Nightmare to Professional Installation – Newcastle

We were recently called out by a landlord to investigate a leaking water heater at a rental property in Newcastle.

What we found wasn’t just a leak. The existing installation had been fitted incorrectly from the outset, failing to comply with both Water Regulations and the manufacturer’s installation requirements. Unfortunately, the water heater itself had also failed and required replacement.

Rather than simply swapping the unit and leaving, we took the time to completely redesign and install the system properly. The result is a safe, compliant, reliable installation with neat pipework and full manufacturer compliance.

⭐ A Great Start for Sean – Two Happy Customers, Two 5-Star Reviews! ⭐

Saturday was a busy one for our newest team member, Sean, who completed two plumbing jobs to an excellent standard and received two 5-star reviews from delighted customers. 👏

🔧 Job 1 – Leaking Stop Tap Replacement in Hebburn
A customer contacted us regarding a leaking stop tap that had deteriorated over time. Sean attended, safely isolated the water supply, removed the faulty valve and installed a new stop tap, ensuring the system was leak-free and fully operational before leaving.

🚰 Job 2 – Outdoor Tap & Pipework Upgrade
The second job involved correcting a poorly installed outdoor tap and water supply serving a stable yard. The existing pipework had been installed incorrectly and lacked the necessary backflow protection. Sean renewed the pipework, fitted a double check valve to help protect the water supply, and completely reworked the installation to create a much neater, more reliable and professional finish.

Leaking waste pipe replaced in Lanchester 📍

Called out to a leaking waste pipe today where the old solvent weld fittings had failed. Rather than cutting into the existing pipework and adding more joints, it made more sense to replace the full section properly 👍🏻

Another tidy boiler install completed for a regular customer 🔥

This job was part of a full house renovation after the landlord discovered the previous boiler installation had been seriously let down by a cowboy installer 🤠

The old boiler had been fitted behind a stud wall, with the pressure relief pipe and condensate both discharging straight onto the kitchen floor 😳
To make matters worse, there was no paperwork or registration for the install.

We also found a 10mm pipe coming directly off the boiler attempting to feed the entire downstairs 🤦🏻‍♂️

When we first surveyed the property, we couldn’t leave the boiler operating in that condition, so it was disconnected immediately until the landlord decided how they wanted to proceed 👍🏻

On our return, we:
✅ Relocated the boiler into the upstairs airing cupboard
✅ Re-piped the heating system correctly in 22mm and 15mm
✅ Carried out a full commissioning process
✅ Registered the appliance with the manufacturer and Gas Safe

Now the landlord has complete peace of mind knowing the installation is safe, compliant, properly registered, and backed by a guarantee — plus a reliable company to call for any future work.
