Wind, water, height, restricted access, operational constraints…

Yet equipment must still be lifted and lowered safely, cleanly and efficiently; without disrupting teams or relying on oversized equipment.

As we step into 2026, we’re taking a moment to look back at some of our most unique and iconic lifting projects. One standout was when our PortaGantry played a key role in Land Rover’s campaign for the 2023 hashtag .

To celebrate the tournament kickoff, Land Rover paid tribute to Defender trailblazers by creating a steel statue; crafted from reclaimed chassis material and brought to life using advanced 3D scanning technology.

As you know steel statues aren't known for being lightweight, and in this case weren't a permanent fixture, so a portable, strong lifting solution was required to help lift, move and position this iconic statue.

We won’t mention Wales or England’s results 😓 … but at least our PortaGantry delivered a winning performance!

Offering a robust and versatile solution for both trenching & shoring and mounting applications on parapet walls, the PortX Barrel Mount has clamping capacity from 60 to 600mm.

This means it can be used in conjunction with even the largest trench boxes as well as many conventional parapet walls in water site maintenance and other industrial applications.

🚣 Well done to the Reid Rafters 🚣

A huge congratulations to our amazing team for tackling the very soggy raft race in Monmouth yesterday - They braved the weather, the water, the competition and even hard boiled eggs.🥚🫢

A fantastic effort from everyone involved and most importantly, together they managed to raise an incredible £2,845 for St David's Hospice Care 💙

A massive thank you to everyone who donated and supported the team!

A special shoutout to Resmar LTD for supplying the team with life jackets and keeping them safe during their watery escapades. 👏

🚣‍♂️ We’re making waves for a great cause, but we need your help!

We’re thrilled to share that our Charity Raft Building Challenge in support of St David’s Hospice Care has officially begun!

Some of our fantastic team, here at Reid Lifting, will be putting their creativity and teamwork to the test as they build, hopefully float and race a raft for 6.5 miles down the River Wye to the finish at Tump Farm, Whitebrook - All to raise funds for the incredible work St David's Hospice care does in our community.

So, we're asking you to help us make a splash by sharing the donation link with friends, family, work colleagues or anyone who'd love to support a great cause ❤️
