**A different engineer booked this repair in.

The lady said she had no heating or hot water at all. The pcb and pump head had been changed on a previous visit by someone else, and I was sent to replace the pump lead.

Once replaced, all lit up as it should 👍🏻

The customer mentioned she only got a minute or so of hot water. After running the hot tap and watching the temperature shoot right up, I knew it was the plate that was blocked, causing the boiler to overheat.

A new one was fitted which solved the problem as expected👍🏻

I attended a repair that another engineer had booked parts for.
Long story short, four parts later and re-diagnosing, I found that the PCB was at fault 🙄😑.
Luckily the customer had insurance, but a lesson was well learned to check yourself before changing parts, no matter how much you trust an engineer’s judgment 🙂
