As well as recording the audio, we create the CD artwork and organise the manufacture of the CD along with MCPS (Mechanical-Copyright-Protection-Society) licensing. Evaluation:
This part of the process is free to make sure the customer is happy with the sound that we produce, before proceeding to the full recording. At this stage we record one or two songs and within 2 weeks complete a mix of the
evaluation tracks and email them to the customer. When the customer is happy with the result, we agree a schedule to complete the project. Recording Sessions and Mixing:
The recording sessions take place at the customer’s location and we provide the personnel and equipment to complete the recording phase. In the mixing phase we engineer the initial mix, then liaise with the customer for any re-mixing to create the sound the customer wants
CD Artwork:
We work with the customer to generate ideas for the look and feel of the CD Artwork. We then create suitable images for the customer to approve. Manufacture:
We outsource the manufacture of the CD. This process is either a replication or duplication process carried out by a subcontractor who specialises in this field. Timing:
At the evaluation stage we supply the mixed / engineered recordings within 2 weeks. After the full recording session the initial mix is supplied 4 weeks after all recording is completed. Progress after that point depends on how much re-mixing the customer wants. Manufacture of the finished CD with artwork is 5 weeks from the customer approval.
