Recent updates from the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) have confirmed multiple outbreaks of highly pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) H5N1 across England, including cases in North Yorkshire and Shropshire. In response, Defra has implemented 3km Protection Zones and 10km Surveillance Zones around affected premises to control the spread of the disease. Additionally, a regional Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory housing measures has been declared in parts of East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk, requiring all bird keepers in these areas to keep their birds housed from 23 December 2024.
At Coventry Chemicals, we understand the challenges poultry farmers face during these outbreaks. That's why we offer Omnicide, a powerful disinfectant with proven efficacy against Avian Influenza. Omnicide is Defra-approved for diseases of poultry, including Avian Influenza, making it a trusted choice for maintaining high biosecurity standards on farms.
