A £2 million legacy for future generations 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Fife College and Forth Valley College are set to benefit from a large range of the latest equipment, tools, and workshop facilities thanks to a legacy donation from ExxonMobil Fife Ethylene Plant.

This contribution will help students at the colleges develop:
👷 In-demand skills
⚙️ Practical experience opportunities
💡 Knowledge through an expanded range of training

Although we are leaving Fife, we hope this will leave behind a positive future for those who follow.

Gearing up for mountain biking mental health initiative

Through a £2,000 donation to Trail Therapy at Lochore Meadows Country Park, we are helping to deliver this innovative mental health programme in Fife for the first time.

Trail Therapy combines mountain biking with structured therapeutic techniques, supporting mental wellbeing rooted in the area’s natural environment.

Providing practical support to communities!

It’s sometimes the everyday essentials that make the biggest difference. That’s why we have donated furniture and white goods to schools and community groups.

From helping families to settle into new homes to creating the best learning environment for children, we hope these small steps will leave a positive legacy.

Mini Medics

Following the previous success of the Mini Medics programme locally, ExxonMobil Fife Ethylene Plant has further funded the series of life-saving first aid courses with a £10,000 donation.

Run in partnership with New Forest First Aid Training, more than 780 S1 and S2 students from Beath High School and Lochgelly High School will gain skills for life.

The sessions will include:

🩹 An Introduction to First Aid
🏥 The Correct Recovery Position
❤️ How to Perform CPR

A spokesperson from the school said:

“For many of our students, ExxonMobil FEP is already part of their family story, with parents or grandparents who have worked at the site over the years. Having that same organisation invest in essential skills for the next generation makes this programme feel particularly meaningful, and we are extremely grateful for the support.”

Leaving a legacy for learners in Cowdenbeath

The team at FEP has donated an exciting range of equipment to the newly-formed STEM Leaders Team at Cowdenbeath Primary School, helping pupils to develop their teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills.

Led by the inspiring Ms Cook, the initiative will strengthen hands-on learning for Fife’s future scientists and engineers.

💻 Connecting communities, one click at a time!

Our IT team took to the road to deliver laptops to community centres in Benarty, Kelty and Cowdenbeath area to support our local communities to stay connected and engaged.

From online learning and virtual meetups to running activities and accessing essential services, we hope these devices will make a real difference to the people who use the centres every day.

It’s brilliant to see technology helping communities come together and supporting groups in the heart of Fife.

Thank you to the team at Benarty for being on hand to receive the delivery.
