VE Day: Honouring Courage, Service, and the Systems That Held Us Together 🕊️
Today on VE Day, we remember the historic end of WWII in Europe—a hard-earned moment of peace after years of unimaginable challenge.
But behind every frontline was infrastructure. Behind every operation, a system. And behind millions of lives, a lifeline: The Red Cross.
While soldiers advanced, the Red Cross worked tirelessly in the background—delivering aid, protecting POWs, and restoring communication across fractured continents.
Their quiet efficiency saved lives, proving that in times of crisis, systems of care and precision matter just as much as strength.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day and on this day of remembrance, we salute the past—and commit to building a future where safety, support, and systems work hand in hand.
“To the men and women who gave their all, and to those who held the line behind the scenes—we remember.”
