⭐ New Vacancy - Building Services Apprentice | Dartford, Kent | Full-time 37.5 hours per week ⭐

Walker Mower are excited to announce that we are seeking to employ a Building Services apprentice. As part of the role, the successful candidate will be joining our design engineering team and working on an array of design projects for both residential and commercial clients.

The successful candidate will have responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Using both 2D and 3D design software, (AutoCAD and Revit).
- Understanding and undertaking calculations to support the design.
- Planning effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Ensuring that technical designs are prepared, stored, issued and archived in accordance with company procedures.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work within a small team efficiently and with a high level of precision. Having strong interpersonal and communication skills is a must. As this is an apprenticeship role, attendance at university scheme will be achieved as a part-time role, (day release) within our employment, and travel expenses to and from university will be covered by the company.

Walker Mower is looking to employ a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanical Building Services Engineer. The principal responsibilities of the role will be to provide technical knowledge and support in order to progress multiple design projects, both of residential and commercial nature, and to produce schematics and engineering calculations within agreed timescales.

As part of the role, the successful candidate will be tasked with working on designs of both a residential and commercial nature, and will be working within a small, close-knit team. This is an entry level role and would be suited to school-leavers with aspirations of getting a foot in the door of the construction industry.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Out of respect for HM Queen Elizabeth II and the entire Royal Family, the directors have made the decision that Walker Mower will remain closed today, (Friday 9th September) as our staff share in this moment of national mourning.

The Queen was a national icon. She led our country through thick and thin; guiding through countless economical and social changes, and through national crisis, as such was the pandemic in recent years. She has seen so much in her long reign, and her passing has affected each and every one of us. She was beloved by so many, for she was courageous, powerful, admirable. But, perhaps even more importantly, she was kind, she was witty and she was humorous. She was down to earth, relating to the people she led. She was, in essence, the face of Britain, and one which will forever be synonymous with our great nation. For people like myself, she was simply The Queen - our only Queen and the only monarch we've ever known. Today is a sad day for this nation. We hope you too will join us in this time of mourning.
