Last week ended up staying on a job until the early hours of the morning getting a shed marked out. The laser needed proper darkness to work accurately, so rather than leave it half done, the job got finished right.

Even though I’m “only” a subcontractor, I treat every project with the same level of commitment and attention to detail as if it was my own from start to finish.

Currently part way through a grain handling installation project working alongside a specialist installation engineering company.

Been assisting with:
• Conveyor build up and installation
• Fabrication and installation of support brackets
• Installing support steelwork for belt conveyor systems
• General site fitting and mechanical install work

Out on site getting a couple of flanges tacked up and welded into position 🔧

Then over to the customer’s workshop to finish off some pre-tacked pipework for a water supply system — all welded up and ready to go back into service.

Nice straightforward job but a good example of being able to jump between site work and workshop support to keep things moving 👍

Bit of stainless repair work carried out on a wash line in an abattoir.

Cut out a worn section of mesh and replaced it with stainless plate to suit the application. Also built up areas where the rollers had worn into the steel, then fettled it back to get everything running properly again.

This is a temporary fix to keep things going until the full replacement is done.

Unfortunately didn’t get a finished photo of where the rollers run, but everything’s back working as it should 👍

Not the prettiest job, but a necessary one to keep things moving.

JAH Engineering

Quick repair job on a vandalised kissing gate that had one of the hinges completely removed.

Fitted a new hinge eye and reworked it to make it a lot more secure and harder to tamper with going forward.

Back solid, swinging properly, and built to last this time 👍

Cut a hatch into this stainless steel water tank to gain access to the internal steam pipe that generates steam, then fully welded the hatch back in once the work was complete 💪

Not the prettiest job once all the insulation’s stripped back, but a proper bit of work getting into it and sealing it back up right 👌

All prepped, welded, and water tested after to make sure it’s fully sealed with no leaks — ready to be insulated back up and put back into service 🔧🔥

⚽ Out in the field today doing some aluminium welding on a set of goal posts… and yes, that pun was intended.

Cracks repaired, joints strengthened and ready for many more goals. Aluminium welding isn’t always the easiest, but this one came out tidy.

Another solid repair done.

Some awkward angles and transitions on this one but it all came together nicely in the end. Always satisfying turning sheets of steel into something like this.
