Nobody expects a wardrobe to be sawn and glued in their living room.

Your first design consultation goes further when you arrive with three small answers. None takes more than a minute, and none costs a thing.

Which rooms feel cramped.
A rough answer is enough, such as the kitchen at teatime or the hallway when everyone is home. It gives the conversation about how you use your space a real starting point.

Where you want the light to come from.

The finishes that quietly work in the background are the ones buyers notice, surveyors respect, and that signal real build quality from the moment someone walks through the door.

Three checks you can run right now.

Touch the floor before you commit to it. Ask whether underfloor heating is an option for that room. A heated slab is invisible infrastructure. Buyers value it even when it is never mentioned on a viewing.

Count the skylights and check whether they are temperature-controlled. Roof glazing that keeps a space comfortable year-round does two jobs at once. Year-round comfort. And an unmistakable signal of build quality to anyone who walks in.
