Today, 27th August, marks Richard Wood's retirement from FAIRFIELDS.

Richard joined FAIRFIELDS as a Project Manager and has since played an important role in delivering several of our projects.

Over the past two years, he has brought a wealth of project management experience to the team, working closely with colleagues, customers and project partners to help keep projects moving and support their successful delivery.

He has made a real contribution during his time at FAIRFIELDS and will be missed by those who have worked alongside him.

We're pleased to welcome Mark Tupman to FAIRFIELDS as our new Asset OMR Framework Director.

Mark brings extensive experience in programme and project management across environmental, operational and asset management, with particular expertise in environmental and flood risk management.

In his new role, Mark will take dedicated responsibility for leading, growing, and developing our Asset Operation, Maintenance and Response Framework.

His experience and knowledge will support the continued development of the framework and the delivery of our services to customers.

Last week, members of our Industrial IT and Technical Sales teams completed further industrial cybersecurity training with Siemens.

FAIRFIELDS has been delivering industrial cybersecurity services for many years, supporting clients through the full cybersecurity lifecycle, from assessment and risk prioritisation through to implementation, ongoing monitoring and support.

This training is an important step in further aligning and strengthening our established offering with Siemens as part of our partnership. It covered IEC 62443 Parts 3-3 and 2-1, the Siemens cybersecurity lifecycle, and practical experience using the SieCAST assessment tool.

The team also completed the training required to support FAIRFIELDS becoming an official Siemens Industrial Cybersecurity Solution Partner, bringing together our existing experience with Siemens’ technologies, tools and expertise.

Renfrew Bridge has been named Road Bridge Project of the Year 2026 by New Civil Engineer

The project represents a significant piece of infrastructure, strengthening connections between communities on either side of the River Clyde and delivering a new link between Renfrew and Yoker.

FAIRFIELDS was responsible for delivering the Electrical, Control and IT Systems on behalf of Hollandia Infra and GRAHAM Civil Engineering, supporting the delivery of this project.

It’s fantastic to see the project recognised for the engineering and collaboration behind it.

A huge congratulations to the FAIRFIELDS team, who successfully completed our Coast to Coast to Coast cycling challenge last week in the height of the heatwave. Their determination, teamwork and resilience made for an incredible achievement, and we couldn't be prouder of everyone who took part.

The team took on this challenge to raise money for Lincolnshire Down Syndrome Support Group, a charity that provides vital support, advice and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

A massive well done to every rider for pushing through the challenging conditions, and thank you to everyone who has supported the team so far.
