Stone Saw Operator

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working full-time saw operative to join our team.

This role involves:
Cutting Stone Orders on Secondary Saws. (Training Provided)
Packaging of Stone Orders, Working off Cutting Sheets and working to strict deadlines.

The successful applicant will also assist in our masonry team with simple tasks to finish stone products as directed.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

They will be hard working, reliable and ideally with experience driving machinery such as forklift. This is not a requirement as training can be given.

About the Role
Tennant's Elgin is looking for a reliable and hardworking Bagging Plant Operative to join our team. This is a physically active role working within our bagging plant, preparing products for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

- Bagging cobbles and pebbles into polythene bags
- Sealing bags using bagging machinery
- Filling and stacking pallets ready for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Assisting with general duties within the yard when required

Requirements

- Hardworking and reliable attitude
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Previous yard or plant experience is beneficial but not essential

QUARRY OPERATIVE

Tennant’s Elgin is looking for a quarry operative to join our workforce. Experience in operating and maintenance the quarry machines would be preferable but not essential as training would be provided. This role requires a proactive individual who can work well both independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all duties are carried out to the highest standards.
Duties
• Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as required.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment
Skills
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Operating excavators and wheel shovels is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Full time deputy yard person, Brumley Brae, Elgin.
working in a busy aggregate yard dealing with customers. Making up orders from single 25kg bags to pallets of 25kg bags. the job also entails loading customer vehicles with aggregates and ready mix concrete.
No experience necessary; training will be given, enthusiasm to learn would be a huge advantage.

As we open our gates and head in to 2026, we find ourselves buried under a deep blanket of snow across all our sites.

Please bear with us while we clear the yard and our quarries. We assure you that normal business and deliveries will resume as soon as safely possible.
