The Future Homes Standard is coming – but how do you feel about it?
From 2025, all new build homes in England will be required to meet much tougher energy efficiency standards. Gas boilers will be phased out. Low-carbon heating systems like heat pumps will become the norm. Solar panels and improved insulation are expected as standard.
But are homebuyers ready for the change? We’d love to know: If you were buying a new build home in 2025, which feature would matter most to you?
🟦 A heat pump instead of a gas boiler?
🟦 Solar panels for lower electricity bills?
🟦 Better insulation and airtightness?
🟦 Or would you still prefer a gas boiler?
The shift to low-carbon homes is a huge opportunity, but only if the solutions work for the people living in them.
