TYK Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of TYK Corporation in Japan, we are one of the worlds leading refractory manufacturers and established since 1987 in the UK. Our parent company, TYK Corporation, established in 1947, is known worldwide for its development and production of refractory, a special kind of bricks mainly used for steelmaking. TYK is recognized as one of the leading suppliers of
refractory, especially the ones for flow control system, secondary refining and
continuous casting. TYK Limited was founded in 1987 and the aim was to produce pre-cast products, such as Argon Lance and pre-shaped blocks, during the first 10 years, the main customer base was UK and Europe. In 1997, phase two arrived with the introduction of the Continuous Casting Plant, known locally as the CC Plant. The aim for this plant was to produce products for the Continuous Casting method, again, with most early customers based in Europe, our products are now supplied all over the world, to include Australia, Argentina, Mexico, Finland, Sweden and more recently, we are entering the Russian market. We were accredited with the British Standard kite mark "BS5750" back in 1992, and since then we have maintained our standard and have fully met and kept up to date with the ISO standards.
